Hello!

Many years ago I had access to a 1982 XJ6 with the 4.2, which I drove on and off for a few years. A beautiful car, and I was sad to see it go. (Sadly it was parted out and scrapped, not by me!) I've recently been considering getting back into Jag ownership. I've been considering a LWB XJ8 probably with the 3.2, but I keep coming to the XJR with the supercharged 4.0.

I do have some concerns about overall reliability, especially the engine. I've read up on the nikisil problems that affected the late 90ies XJRs, and as this is the era I'm looking at, I'm a little worried I'm going to end up buying an expensive repair bill. I'll go start a new thread in the relevant sub-forum in a sec.

So this is here just to say hello. Hello!

Dave
