Bonnet release xtype 2ltre 2004

I cannot open my bonnet drivers side catch releases but passengers side will not release

Hi had the same problem in December managed to open it by taking the plastic cover off under the car and putting a long screwdriver up to the latch. I needed a new cable which is quite easy to fit be taking the battery out ,Remember to make sure the bulkhead grommet on the new one is all the way in its hole or you may get leaks in the cabin.
