Hi There, I have an XKR purchased second hand in the early 2000's and was told it was a 1998 model and one of the first 50 or 100 hundred models produced that had some mercedes parts and an increased bhp. although i'm a big fan, i'm not much of a mechanic and wondered if there is an easy way to check if this is true? the car is in a state of disrepair and i'm trying to get some idea of the value before i look into getting the work done to get the car back up to speed.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

All the X100 XKR's have Mercedes boxes. There are some Ford bits, switches etc.
