Lower panel removal from rear bumper , facelift model

Featured Replies

Hi , I’m new to your group , hoping to get  expert answers from you guys . I am on my 2 nd x- type , my newest is a 2009 2.2 diesel estate and I want to remove the lower ‘ blackout panel ‘ ? From the rear bumper . I have had a search online but I cannot get it off . I have removed the 3 plastic stud like fixings but it wil not budge , feels like it’s held on the corners . Is it just very tight or is there more fixings I can’t see ? Thanks in advance

Got a bit further with this I had to remove 2 bolts , one from either curved end & now it seems as if it will pull off . Not done this yet as rain stopped play ! See photo
