Parking Aid Sensors

Featured Replies

The parking aid sensors (front and rear) haven't worked on my car since I got it in February so I had a go at them today.Although the module has inlets for 3 separate harness's mine only has 2 connected. All images I have looked at on line show 2 brown plugs and 1 black connected but mine just has the 2 brown connected and 1 empty inlet.Could this be the problem ?

More than likely, probably been disconnected due to a problem and tucked away somewhere

Yeah probably that, Have had a hunt round the boot but can't find it.Might nip to our local indie car electrics guy and see if he can help. Certainly don't fancy removing bumpers etc. Failing that will probably leave things and park carefully .😄

Bit late updating on this I know but finally fixed it. Somebody had connected the wrong cable to the rear sensors and tucked the cable away.Bought the right one off ebay, connected it and now both rear and front sensors are working 😄

Excellent news and thanks for the update.👍

Cheers Jim

Somebody had gone down the "It's a Mondeo in a posh frock" thing and tried to use a cable from a Mondeo which connected to the rear sensors but is a completely different at the module end so they had just tucked it out of sight !
