Hello from Sacramento, California! Just purchased a 1997 XK8, convertible....a 70th birthday and a divorce gift to myself. Lusted after an XKE convertible when I was 16 years old in 1967. This beautifully pristine XK8 Jaguar is a gorgeous Cabernet red, and I cannot stop smiling. 
This forum looks awesome! I know it will be helpful in answering questions I might have. Please forgive my mistakes and missteps as I navigate.

Your Jaguar sounds stunning in that beautiful red color.

I was attracted to cars at an early age too.

One of my teachers had a Daimler, it was gorgeous, I used to wait by the gate to see her drive it in.
