HI my name is Steve from Sheffield UK, had a XK8 for nearly 2  years now but last week low oil pressure warning light came on whilst on M18 and  slowed down and got off M18 within 3 miles of warning but now wont start or even battery shows no sign of life ,had it brought home on back of recovery lorry ,now stuck deciding if I need to rebuild engine and what will it cost ?any ideas guys /gals

Hi Steven,

You really need to get the codes read to see what’s going on. In the meantime, a few simple checks may help allay your fears. Oil level, top up as needed. Any signs of oil leaking? 

If memory serves, low oil pressure will give a non start condition.

Fully charge the battery also.
