Blue Tooth Dropping out

Has anyone else having issues with Blue Tooth disconnection and has anyone got any fixes for the issue.

I have a 2016 XE Sport, which is before Andriod Auto and use a Sony 5ii phone.

Is is possible to do a software update for the media system in my car.

I have the same issue with my 2015 r-sport using a Google pixel. Eventually it stays connected after dropping out a few times in ideal. The problem went anyway just connecting my phone as a bluetooth device and removing it as a connected phone but then your lose a bunch of features which isn't ideal.
