I have a 2002 XK8. convertible.

The vehicle is currently not responding to any of the three key fobs that I have for it and all of which have previously worked.

I have tried the re-programming procedure. The vehicle goes into learn mode but there are no additional flashes from the LED near the gear selector or noises when the key fob buttons are pressed.

I have checked fuse 10 in the boot which is intact.

Not sure if it is related but the alarm sounder (with batteries) has been removed because it was corroded and so far I have not found a replacement.

The car central locking system works with the key, but I have to get the key in the ignition quickly or else the alarm (horn) sounds.

Does anybody else have any advice on these issues
