Sat nav Japanese voice warning

Featured Replies

I've changed the language on my Japanese import 2006 S-Type and everything works great except I still get the warning message (only use when stationary??) in Japanese, anyone know how to change this?? The radio also has the restricted frequency range that is Japanese specific, surely also a 'software' limitation?!?

Hi

To bring the  radio into UK range I had to buy a british one off ebay and fit it. Bought with a code key .

I dont understand your japanese warning message, on mine I rewired the rear connections (wire and optics) around the disc changer and sat nav and fitted a british sat nav and a british voice box . Also blue tooth box to get mobile working with car systems. All works fine but there was a fair bit of wiring to reassign, worked out from the standard diagrams. The only japanese part I have now is the traffic unit in the lower dash but it does not interfere with anything so I have not bothered to remove it yet.
