Hello Ladies and Gents,

I don't own a Jag yet, I'm looking at series 1 XK's, I have always loved that model. As a child I spent a lot of time in Jags. My Father owned a MK2, a 66 FHC E-type that was previously owned by the Lyons family, stolen then recovered and he also owned a FHC  XK150.

My Father and Mother both worked at GEC  Browns lane factory in 58/59 and my mother told me she was in the office when they rolled out the first E-type, a blue coupe. She said the whole office went out to look at it and it was the most beautiful car she had/has ever seen. Would this have been chassis 850001 ? Are there any photos of this car? I'd like to find some of it to show her.

Hopefully I was also be a Jaguar owner in 2023.

All the best

Simon
