power & door locking issue

Featured Replies

I have a 2018 XJ with some issues. Wondering if anyone has some insight or has experienced same issue.

I am losing power. Every time i get in the car it says low battery. I put the charger on it overnight and it fixed that issue until the next day and same issue again.

my door locks do not lock. either by remote or inside buttons. Which is what i think the issue may be.

i can hear the passenger rear door actuator making noises when i am in the car.

So i am thinking it is a faulty door lock actuator on that door that is draining the battery and causing all the doors not to function.

before i open it up and check it out i thought i would post something here to see if anyone has experienced the same issue and may have some advice.

Welcome to the forum.

Your thinking is probably correct and a code reader would confirm. Door locks are a common problem and should be replaced though do make sure you get the right type.
