Wireless Apple CarPlay 2019 XJ

Featured Replies

I have a 2019 XJ - Dealer added Apple CarPLay, which works well enough using the USB cable.

I use it heavily and it's super useful, but I would like to use it wirelessly without having to plug my iPhone into car each trip, which is increasingly common.

1. Anyone know if software updates can introduce this / if jaguar are likely to do this

2. If not, does anyone have experience (good or bad) with aftermarket products like CarlinKit Wireless Carplay Adapter or similar

It looks like you just plug it into the cars USB, pair with iphone temporarily over bluetooth, then it sets up its own WIFI SSID which your iphone connects to automatically each trip.

If it works, it's probs worth £80 but I'd love to hear some real XJ experiences first!

Thanks
