XF X260 3.0D - MAP sensor code needed URGENT

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am new here, but I have an urgent request..

My 3.0D XF 2016 went into RP during my Euro trip, around Wien. As it was Easter, I had to go to a local garage(Jaguar dealership was closed), so they found a fault with the MAP sensor and replaced mine with a similar one from a 2011 Range Rover. The car worked fine as long as I wasn’t pushing it too hard, but now I need the code from the old MAP sensor in order to replace it. My MAP sensor was left behind and there is no way I can get the code from it.. so I am asking for anyone if they can go to their 2016 3.0D XF and give me the code written on the Hitachi MAP sensor so I can order myself a new one and return to the UK safely.

Sorry for the long story .. I am a bit desperate as the car has been making weird noises and I’m not sure if one of the turbos has been damaged as well. This might be the most miserable trip of my life ..

I think this is it, but I am not sure this is its actual JLR part number - 66506GH. Sorry cant see any other markings on it, its small. If this is the wrong bit, say where it is and I will go look.

Hi Stu, thank you for your reply. I have managed to contact Jaguar Romania, who was able to locate the sensor using the VIN number and will ship it to me so I can have it installed and reprogrammed. I hope this is the only issue with the car..

Glad you got sorted & hope you get home ok with no more issues.

I had already had another look and found the part number on the side, BC3Q - 9F479 - AD

My sensor was pretty blocked with crap from the EGR, so gave it a clean with electrical contact cleaner.
