Won’t accelerate when warm

Hi people, new to this forum. I’ve an S type v8 1999. After running for 40 minutes and while driving the car seem to refuse to accelerate and hold back occasionally popping back up the inlet. If I turn it off and back on again while driving it cures it for a couple of minutes and then does the same. 
I’ve replaced the coils and plugs and the cam cover gasket’s. Any ideas?
