Hello everyone I've owned S-Type Jaguar since 2002. For the last 10 years I've had an 2004 S-Type. This morning while pulling out of my driveway they had repaved it and I skidded in gravel. Loss of traction. It didn't seem like a big deal however now it says restricted performance and as you know it's like Limp Mode. My regular mechanic doesn't work on this particular car and it's hard to find someone to work on an S-Type older than a 2006 here in St Louis Missouri United states. Although my car only has 125,000 miles on it. It's now acting different because of the restrictions. My mechanic suggested I disconnect the battery for a few hours. But it didn't work. This is my baby and I am on a fixed income as a disabled senior. Any ideas? [email protected]

Hi Tamara

I would tell you to read my post The Great DPF debate in this forum.

Replace both EGR valves. Get the car to a reputable garage and get the DPF removed and professionally cleaned. Do not not have it cleaned on the car as this is a scam.

Hope this helps
