Can anyone identify this fuel pump, I need to know if its polarity sensitive as I  want to change cars polarity.

I was of the understaning the original early ones weren't, can't be neg my cars currently positive earth.

I was just going on your pic, it's possible that someone has been in there and changed the wiring but it would appear to be neg earth as the black wire is running to the casing/earth of the pump.

Just had my manual delivered, the pos earth car has a black earth lead from the pump.

Ha think i just realised that photo is the fuel sensor unit not the pump. Thats why 3 wires, pump must be underneath, silly boy. Will have a look tomorrow.

Photo of actual pump, black band which i think denotes something so need to check if its dual polarity.
