HERE Map upgrade

My 2017 XJL 3.0 diesel portfolio with 30k milage full service history, has out of date maps easy fix,,,,NOT apparently my car needs a TCU upgrade that may or may not fix the issue or may compromise the TCU and head unit, cost of upgrade about £250 cost of fixing if it fails and compromises the vehicle £ 0000  and a new or second hand may not work as it maybe out of date, like me to old. So unless someone has a idea or a spare bank account. A Collins road map is the way forward.

out of date map has nothing to do with tcu? and compromising head unit relates to head unit software update...

find specialist who updates jag systems for a living. quite often they are mobile.
