XKR Condenser discontinued - HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just bought a 2008 XKR and was told that there was a leak in the aircon. It is a lovely car and I wanted to start off with everything working so ask my local garage to find and fix ther leak. In the process they stripped the screws in the radiator and I have ended up having to pay for a new one (over £500 +labour). I have now been told that the part MJD7390AC does not fit because it has 8mm threads and studs and my pipes are 6mm.

The original condensor part is number MJB7390AA but it has been discotinued. Jaguar apparently did do a conversion kit for the pipes but this too has now been discountinued. I have been told that I either need to find the replacement part or find a way of converting the old 6mm pipes to fit onto the newer 8mm studs on the condenser.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,

Martin

I'm just wondering if anyone has an answer to this condenser issue as I also now have the same problem?

Many thanks, Chris
