I have an 05 registered X type 3.0 ltr estate.

Since new I have successfully used a top of the range Nokia with the in car blue tooth system.

I need to change my phone and am considering an iPhone 4s or a Samsung Galaxy.

I have tried to connect a friend's iphone following the instruction manual but it simply won't connect.

I heard that the problem is the Blue Tooth platform which has been upgraded on newer phones.

Am I wasting my time trying to connect a smartphone?

I have a HTC windows 7 phone, works perfectly well on my bluetooth (07 plate, but I dont think my system is different to yours)

The only limitation I have found is I can only connect 1 phone ( later system allows you to connect 3) Oh and only 500 contacts in the address book.

Hi

My iPhone 4 connected without problem to my 06 3.0L saloon. Do you have the #code to connect? (it is ##3#*# and my pass key is 1313)
