Electric Folding Wingmirrors Just Stopped Working

OK, so my drivers side mirror seemed to stop completely first, then the passenger side worked for a few more times and then gave up too!

Now when I press the retract button inside the car nothing at all happens. Are the motors prone to burning out? Or is it likey that the switches have gone wrong? My first thought was wingmirror motors as I have had this problem in other cars in the past, but I have had to replace the window switches in other vehicles too. Or is it something completely different? Anyone else had this problem?

Anybody alive on this site?lol! Well, I`m going to blast some air around and squirt a load of WD40 in there and then work the mirrors by hand, then try them. If not I shall have a look at the wiring and failing that I`ll get the motors replaced. Will report my findings back shortly.

Once again, did your fix work? Wing mirrors can be a pain, can you still operate them by hand?

Not tried yet mate check on my `jobs to do` thread I`m gradually sorting the niggles lol
