Am thinking of buying a 2005 x type estate what do i look out for will i be ok to tow caravan what sort of fuel consumption can i expect from a 2.5 petrol engine it has done 60000 miles

Hi bigphil.

The fuel consumption figures on the 2.5 v6 are officially 29MPG combined, although that's a pessimistic figure. I'd imagine early 30's MPG could be quite easily achieved.

You should have no trouble towing a caravan with it, you can get tow bar kits online from about £100. Hope this helps.
