2005 XType SE Jaguar Headlights

Featured Replies

Hi I am told that this is a common problem with this particular model so I'm guessing that others have come accross it.

My headlights have that silver/grey lens which makes driving in wet weather just a tad difficult.

I was wondering if there is a way to improve this......maybe do away with these lens or a brighter bulb...

Any Ideas folks?

I remember reading something about this when I bought my first Jag 2 years ago. My lenses were completely scratched and fogged up. There is no quick fix for this I'm afraid, the lenses are plastic, not what one would expect from a Jaguar. I remember seeing a video clip on youtube showing how you could polish the lenses back to a pristine condition but to be honest, I looked a real 'trial' of a job - so the only other way is to replace them I'm afraid. Prior to buying the Jag I ran a Rover 75 Connoisseur and I have to say in my opinion it was a far superior car to the jag....but the jag has the better 'look'. If Rover were still in business I'd still be a rover driver.
