Hi, my 2001 XKR drivers window drops when you open the dooe as it should but does not go back up when you close the door?

 

Any thoughts?

sounds as though it is dropping of the runner is it still square or moved to one side

It sounds like it needs resetting, not 100% sure how to do it on that car but on other makes I have had in past you hold finger on switch when fully up for about 5 secs and that should reset it.
