Vehicle will not exceed 15 Km/h

Featured Replies

Hi,
I renew an Automatic transmission gearbox on an S Type X 200 year 2007, now the car will not exceed 15 Km/h and will not go above 2500 r.p.m on drive “D” and “R” but on neutral the acceleration is fine.  I can feel that the car will change only the first and second gear.  If I press the kick-down from start I can feel the power but as soon as it reaches 15 Km/h and the rpm touches the 2500 no acceleration can be felt even if you presses  the kick-down switch several times.  Sometimes when I switch the ignition ON engine not running I can see “Pedal Adjust Inhibited”  message appears on the dashboard.  I removed the Accelerator pedal position sensor, clean it but the fault appears again.  So now I don’t know what to do. Am waiting for your help as your help will be much appreciated
Regards,
Jag Technician
