I have a 53 plate x type diesel (2l) and have noticed quite a bit of black smoke when I give it the beans, which isn't very often. I found on here that the egr valve and inlet manifold could be clogging up, so I took it apart and cleaned it out, it was almost half the diameter it should have been! Long story short black smoke seems to be gone, but it still just seems to be slightly sluggish when I put my foot down, any thoughts?

Just gave my X Type a Terraclean service, have a lot more power, a quieter engine, and getting better mpg, plush the engine has had a good clean, costs around £100 they come to you home or work takes about 1 hour
