Hello everyone, im new to  jaguar i bought a 2005 x type 2.0d four weeks ago and i just love it, I find myself getting into it and just driving for miles for no reason other than the sheer pleasure of driving it. My only concern is that it seems noisy at tickover but this stops as the revs increase was just wondering if this is normal or should i be worried.

Hi Shaun,

Welcome to the forum and Jag ownership, you'll need to post a couple of pics so we can all appreciate your lovely Cat.

Re noisy tickover, did you buy the Cat private or trade?  If trade you could always take it back and ask them to look at it.  Unfortunately I can't off you much more other than go to google and type in ask a jaguar mechanic.  They can be quite helpful.

Good luck,

Dave

Hi Shaun

Noisey tick over mine had the same problem , took it to a jaguar dealer and was informed it was my injectors, dose your jaguar have high mileage,
