Hi all I'm new and looking forward to being a member, got a jaguar s type on a 55 plate and having a problem trying to get a colour chart so I can wire up reversing aid on the rear. Live goes to reversing light bulb and the black wire to the earth of the light bulb but what colour are the wires I've looked everywhere and even down loaded manuals with no luck, HELP.

I would enlist the services of an auto electrical specialist if possible.

The vehicle wiring system is pretty well balanced for resistances, etc. If you plug another device into the system it may alter the balance and cause errors further up the line.

If the device you have is CanBus approved then it should be ok to just follow the wires to the bulbs and attach into the correct one.
