Firstly, Well chosen in the car stakes. I love my S-Type and it is by far the best car i've ever driven (And i've owned some great cars Alfa Romeo 156, Nissan 200sx and others) I love the smooth ride and the perfect balance of Power, performance and Luxury. The only problems i've had with min are an electrical fault with the central locking and a suspension lower ball joint needed to be replaced in the front near side. It is however a very relyable car. i left it for 2 weeks burried under snow, then when i came to use it it started straight away first time. Although it is heavy on the fuel around the town etc its actually quite fuel effective on the motorways and duel carriage ways only revveing at a smidge over 2000 RPM at 70mph. It has Great road presence and there arent many better ways of making an entrance than in a Jaguar S Type. Hope this reply is insightful enough!

I've owned my S-type for two years, and the only main problem I've had was the expansion tank cracked, and leaked coolant all over the offside front wheel. apparently it's a common problem! Repair was done at my local Jaguar main dealer and cost £170 all in. I didn't think that was too steep, as the genuine part was £118 on it's own.The only other common problem I'm aware of is the front anti roll bar bushes tend to wear prematurely, noticable by a dull clonk when going over speed bumps and potholes. I hope this will be some help.
