Hi all,

 

I've been trying to track down the source of a fairly alarming grinding noise from the front of my X-Type for the last week or so. Finally figured it out today: there is a rattling-grinding noise coming from the instrument cluster whenever the dials move. It seems especially bad from the tachometer, though I believe most of them are making some noise. Any clues what this is? I'd assume it was a motor if they didnt all appear to be making a noise, though I do admit to being ignorant of the inner workings of the instrument cluster. Thanks!
