  Yes I know this is an age off.. but I usually start things off quite a way in advance.. now I know winter is usually a dark grey sort of time of year with plenty of rain, wind, and bad weather leaving us little choice but to hunker down in front of a TV watching archived film clips of our favourite cars on TopGear..

In south east UK we don't do this - we organise our bi-annual Brighton convoy & meet!

It's a great chance for you to have a break from the Christmas rush and shopping and to have some time with great company, fantastic cars, a mug of tea and something to eat..

We are in Autumn officially now, and with winter coming this is the time to not only try to get your chips, scratches and paint damage sorted before the first frosts (in my case with school runs and two children it feels like a losing battle :-)), but also time to guarantee yourself at least one great day in the midst of the winter. Why not sign yourself up for the December event  - our Bi-Annual Brighton Meet? It costs nothing to sign up for, nothing to come to, and I'll list up the parking costs, and fixed meal costs for a big breakfast before the day so you won't even have to break the bank or wonder if you need to bring any money.. The event even offers a choice of dates in December so if you only have select days you could make it, it could well be on that day if the majority is available that day.. go on.. you deserve a break from Christmas shopping, a big breakfast, and a great time with fellow Jaguar owners. Just a little bit of an update for you - as soon as we have finalised the date I will be sorting the fixed price meal deal for us, tying in with Harwoods Jaguar to see if Tony is able to attend and meet up with us with the latest showroom Jaguar he has for us to see, and tentatively, alongside organising a visit to a great little auto box repair shop in Brighton, am hoping to get them to come along to discuss any gearbox issues or questions people may have for them.

Tony from Harwoods Jaguar has confirmed he is available to attend the meet whichever day it is - and has asked if there is anything specific we would like him to bring along? I am open to reasonable :-) suggestions on this to forward onto him...
       

OK guys, subject to no changes in voting from you I will be fixing the date on Monday. I have definately got Tony from Harwoods Jaguar bringing along a car on the day, and I am going to ask a local auto box specialist to come along and meet everyone and answer any transmission related queries you guys with auto boxes might have..

I live in Crawley so this would seem to be a good opportunity for me to meet up with some of the members.  I am currently due to be working those days but all being well once the date is confirmed I can get the day off and join in.

OK the date is now set as the 7th of December - I will confirm that Harwood Jaguar are fine for that date, see if I can organise the auto box specialist centre to attend for us, and make sure we get a meal deal for the day.

Meanwhile don't forget we also have a visit to the auto box repair specialist in the offing if anyone wants to sign up for that too.. Repair Centre Visit....

The date of the 7th has been confirmed with Harwoods Jaguar, and in the next few days I'll have a chat with the auto box repair specialist to see if they can be available for us.. meanwhile I need to know if there are any preferences in what showroom car Tony brings along from Harwoods.. I have had one request for an F-Type Coupe so far , but no other suggestions or thoughts.. please bear in mind when making suggestions, that it might be raining on the day (although last year we were quite lucky with the weather)

Ok have booked 7th December off so can now confirm I'm attending.
