  1. Hi Dave Personally I wouldn't put any supermarket in, as it is not as refined as shell, esso and bp alike. I always use she'll or esso give better mileage and once a month I put in the super plus. I am sure Peter will be along soon confirming this He this is of some help Andrew
  2. Hi Rodney I've been using greased lightning showroom shine products for about 4 years now and I wouldn't use anything else now. I also recommended to a friend of mine who's a car valet and he's using nothing else. Hope this is some help. Andrew
  3. Hi Andrew Some of the members have mentioned before, encluding myself have noticed what sounds like a chain rattling which is to with the rear brakes. Can only be herd at speeds up to about 30 and then when windows are open. I had mine in to different people it disappears for a sometime but returns months later. Andrew
  4. Hi Brian Just a thought look into Teraclean, lots of members have been saying great things about this, cleans the inside of the engine, improves your emissions as well as improving your mpg.   5. Hi Dave, If you haven't check yet, a lot of members keep mentioning battery condition, it could be worth checking out as if it's not charging properly this can cause intermitant electrical problems. Hope this may help, if not try old Peter he's always offer some great advise Regards, Andrew

  7. Hi Nick I like to use Halfords auto centre, I actually use there Slough branch, but I taken the wife merc to Farnborough. Good thing there brake pads for life, that's your life not the cars. Ie no more paying for pads again Andrew

Hi Robert I have the estate and they are just at the top seat just behind, although the seat themselves do not lift up and forward as I had with previous estates But there were to Jags If you have the saloon I am not sure if they fold down at all, you might have to remove the rear seats. I hope this may help in a little way Andrew

Hi David Currently got the same on my 2007 XType sound's to me like a chain rattling, it's been in the garage and they have said it was the retaking clip on the rear pads was missing, which they have done (this was back in August), it's now come back, so it's going back in the garage. I think it might be something else as the retains clips were put on and for what I can see they are still there. If you find out before I do, drop us a line as I can't get mine into the garage for a couple weeks Andrew
  15. Hi Luvneet Welcome to JOC, you will find that we are a friendly bunch here and you will get some great advise. The jag main dealers are bad but you will pay over the top, you can always find a local garage that can do at more favourable prices, have a look around in your area I am sure you could of got everything done for a lot cheaper. I use my local Halfords for my XType and my previous cars as well as my wife's merc. Regards Andrew

  21. Hi All Just got back from joc Brighton biannual meet. A big thank you to Steve for organising today I had great time, met lots of different people from all walks of life and with all one thing in common a jaguar owner, had some great conversation on different topics about our cars. Cold and windy but at least the rain stayed away. Will Look forward to going on future joc events Regard, Andrew
  22. My first car was a Datsun Cherry 100A 1976 not that brilliant but can't complain as my grandparents gave to me, since then 3 Fords, 2 Vauxhalls, 2 Austin's, Toyota , Volvo and now the XType the best of all. Andrew
