Hi all

I've been messing around with video formats for a wile now and have got to A point where video looks great, sound great played from USB sticks however when starting a movie it seems to take 3 or 4 minutes to start playing.

Any ideas?

2011 (face lifted model) XF

Format used: DIVX

Ian,

I would say it probably takes that log to read the USB stick ,if I renew the music on my USB stick it take a while to read it the first time. How long does it take from DVD disc?

Sorry Trevor for the extremely late reply. The DVD start up is what I would consider normal.

I think the system scans the video file before it starts as short video files start much faster than full movies.

Maybe the file quality is too high resulting in larger files to scan.

IS there any upgrade. how to know if there is any upgrade?

I have updated my navigation to 2015 from navigation.com and it also changed some graphics not related to the navigation part. I can only assume the entire touch device gets updated.

I had high hopes I'd get the DAB radio option after the upgrade but I didn't.

Will your system play a DVD if you put one in.
