This might be a stupid question but I will ask to save getting the wrong one and the hassel of sending it back, my 2002 S type 3 .0 has a noisy diff that is spoiling what would be a silent car, on E Bay I see there is two, up to 2002 and after 2002, what one do I need and is there a way of telling the difference between the two, some say this one will fit and some say this wont,  should have brought a 2003 model.

Hi just read your post and the one thing I've noticed is you haven't put weather its an auto or manual, if its any auto I should be able to help. I have a 2001 stype 3.0 manual and had a problem with the rear subframe on the 2001 there is a different ratio between manual and auto. I brought a complete subframe out of a 2001 auto with a diff which is no good to me which I'm will to sell at a reasonable price if you haven't found one yet

Hi David I think we may have our wires crossed the spare diff I've got is out of a 2001 3.0 auto

Ok you will have to let me know what you want for it, the part number is 2R8W4384BAGJS400015V1003.

I have had 2 off e bay and both times they have sent me the Ford one.
