Key Fob - Immobiliser Issue

Hi,

 

I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I have with a recent change of key fob.

 

I lost one of my remote key fobs for my X-Type Sovereign Estate. I purchased a practically brand new second hand key (Including fob, and blade). I also bought a blank key blade and had this cut and fitted this into the key.

 

Looking around the internet I found instructions on how to pair the key fob. This was done successfully and the key unlocks, locks the car.

 

Problem is it wont bypass the immobiliser. The light on the centre console continuously flashes.

 

Is this a main dealer re-programming fix or can this be done by myself?

 

Any help would be appreciated.
