cold starting on 2.2 diesel auto

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I`ve noticed as the weather is getting colder that my car seems to start on three cylinders and is very lumpy. I increase the revs to 1500 and after a few minutes it goes onto 4 cylinders.

If it was petrol I would think it was being overfuelled. Any ideas? This only happens first thing in the morning, the rest of the day it is fine.

Cheers

Rod

Hi Rod---Do you get some quite heavy smoke from the exhaust then clears when

4th cyl comes in because I think you could have a dribbling injector ---Just a thought.???

Frank

Hi Frank,

Not checked exhaust. I will do in the morning and let you know.

Cheers
