Hi everyone, just joined the site and looking to pick somebodys brains. I've had my s-type 3.0 coming up for a year and the dreaded mot is due soon. I've been sorting some of the jobs that needed doing ie plugs, coil packs ,manifold gaskets and full brakes all round. I've just noticed that the electric seat doesnt work,to be honest I dont know if it ever worked. I'm hoping that there is somebody who can point me in the right direction. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your response,I've had a bit of time to look into it a bit more deeply and I have found that the only thing that works on the seat is the lumber support (different power supply). I have power to the switch module but nothing works, however when I tried swapping with the passenger module it still did not work on the drivers side but both modules work on the passenger side so the problem would appear to be somewhat deeper than first thought. I would appreciate yours or any other members thoughts on this.

Hi Jim, Thanks for that link. I've run out of daylight and almost patience. I'm no electrician but looking at the wiring diagram it would appear that the problem could be the seat control module. I cant see it being all the motors. Having said that the seat is so low down I cant get my hand underneath to check the connectors and as the weather forecast for tomorrow is rain I think a call to my local auto electrician will be the next course of action.

Thanks once again.

Alan.
