cruise control problem

Featured Replies

I have a problem with my cruise control, and wondered if anyone else had the issue and how did they solve it?

When pressing to engage CC i get a speed limiter overspeed with a mph figure come up , which does not set speed limit.

The battery has been checked and is fairly new, I have replaced the brake pedal switch, hope someone has some thoughts on this

thanks

I currently have this problem for the 2nd time.

first time it righted its self.

Rybrook jaguar couldn't identify the problem either.

Still It's very annoying, it went away now it's back, read somewhere it could be a throttle body sensor but can not find that post now

i have no other faults or warning lights on

still no answer to this, and still no cruise control. I have booked it in to Jaguar for them to look at , really would like to solve it

Jaguar found four faults with the cruise control, what they called red ones. There was technically nothing wrong with it but they had to do a hard reset of the cruise control system and it now works, only cost half hour labour. Very pleased, car on its way back to me so I can try it out.

I had rear discs and pads , 4 wheel alignment, and aircon service done while it was there. A bit of overtime to do now to save up to get the gearbox oil changed.

Glad you got it sorted Gary, I use the cruise control all the time and it's worked faultlessly. I also recently did discs and pads, plus a new set of tyres and replaced some dodgy rear droplinks and it's transformed the car. A complete fluid change, including gearbox and brake was next on the list, but took her out earlier and noticed she's leaking water from around the expansion tank, so better check this out first...

Finally got the gearbox service done . makes a big difference. Pulled away from garage and no cruise control again. They are going to look at it for me on Friday.

Mine started working again the other day.

Puzzling.

All done, software had to be flashed
