GEARBOX FAULT !

Hello everyone

bought myself an S-Type 2.7 d with 92000 on clock and I keep getting a gearbox fault

display on my clocks & when this happens I think it goes into limp mode, when I pull up

& put it in park there`s a nasty clunk. After re-starting the engine it disappears & drives fine

is there anyone that can shed some light on this for me please ?

Can be one of many faults,

From having the Abs sensor, wrong oil in it, not enough oil, too much oil can also cause problems

you need to plug in and see what faults come up, its the only way on modern cars

other wise its just guess work,
