Unfortunately I find myself unable to become a a genuine member of the Jaguar owners club at this moment in time as today I incurred  close to a £1.000 bill to get my X Trail through it's MOT. I wouldn't mind but the car isn't even worth £1,000.

I knew it was going to fail, but hadn't anticipated it was going to do so, so spectacularly. There's also an advisory which, when in comes to be, is going to cost me another fortune. Furthermore, I learned that it is also locked in permanent 4 wheel drive and as far as I'm concerned, it can ruddy well to stay that way.

Anyway, I can't justify pulling out more money just yet for a Jag. Woe is me. On the upside. I'm glad I held back on buying the one I test drove last week. So for the next 12 months I'm going to run the X Trail and look for a X Type after that. I'm sure there'll still be a good number for sale.

OK people. Enjoy your cars and drive safe. See you next year.

Best wishes.
Steve.
