The aircon compressor on my 1995 XJS  convertible has stopped working and I need to replace it. I cannot see any info on the existing unit at all, can anyone tell me which model compressor I need and where to get one from (without taking out a mortgage).

Also I'm told there is an inline fuse in the power line to the aircon relay - does anyone know where it will be located as I cannot find it.

Many thanks

also may be worth get it checked by a aircon engineer, don't recommend a car garage as the usually don't know what there doing, go to someone who just does aircon

because if there's a leak and the gas is low, there's a pressure switch that's stops the ac compressor clutch engaging to stop damage to itself

cheers
