Engine problem

Every three month or so I start the car but cuts out immediately. I go back three or four hours later and the car starts and will run perfectly for the next few month. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks

There could be a number of reasons but I would get a scan carried out to initially see if there are any fault codes stored in the ECU memory and then go from there.

Could be crankshaft sensor, fuel system...a whole range of things really.
