my 2005 sport d, has an issue with the rpdc , when put in reverse there is a long beep (not the error beep) then if you leave it a while the rapid beep starts then goes back to a long beep , have checked and changed the sensor no clicking ( now all clicking ) so would it be the unit or still a rogue sensor . cheers in adfvance

Hi.

I have had the same issue in the past and currently I have it again. I think that it is the contol unit which is situated on the left hand side of the spare wheel bay.

Hi Paul and Welcome to the Club,

Sadly its a common problem. It may be worthwhile checking, cleaning and lubricating (vaseline) the connections to the control unit. If that does not work try the same approach with the sensor connectors behind the bumper - but your'll have to remove the bumper to do this.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers,

Steve
