Hi.

I have a yellow warning appeared indicating low brake pads. I assume this is an early warning - Does anybody know how many miles it is safe to run for once the warning comes up?

I don't do high mileage and would ideally like to wait until my next scheduled service in a couple of months.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thanks

Hi Gerry and Welcome to the Club,

Your pads will be good for at least a few hundred miles, maybe more.

Keep an eye on them by opening the car window and listening for any metallic squeaks when you apply the footbrake. If, on the other hand,  you hear a hard metallic metallic grinding noise they need to be changed asap.

Cheers,

Steve
