The dash threw a wobbly today, I disconnected the battery and it seems ok again now, has anyone else had this??

It looks like a boot-up screen test for RGB but not sure why it would just pop up

Would definitely contact the dealer to enquire just in case it is a warning that a system is about to go faulty.....it may have stored a code for this error

I have sent them a photograph of the fault but have not heard anything back yet, I will ring the service manager later.

I have just rang and apparently they have not received the email!!! So I have sent it again and asked for a return email saying they have received it. I will let you know what the outcome is.

I've just spoken to the service manager and they don't know what caused it, I've got to wait and see if it does it again if it does take it in to be checked out. I told them It's still in warranty untill May 2020 so they said before the warranty runs out take it in and they will put it on the diagnostic machine and take a look, there was talk of a new instrument cluster!!!! 

Could well be the solution....I know this does occur on some Audi models and repair or replacement of the instrument panel is the only solution.

Fingers crossed that it occurs within the warranty period

Hey , This is similar to the TFT screen module, being the actual component that is the electronic video device equalling the CONSOLE .

IF this device does not initialize correctly at the power on or reset conditions at the cPU to peripheral level then the TFT

Fails to display properly . PCB track or connector ,processor download speed to high for TFT download OR OTHER etc

Design error or fault REPLACE UNIT INSIST .........faulty ,,,,,,PCB level fault ,proven by REPLACE or erratic reset .
