Electric windows

X type 2009 ...Drivers window opens and close as it should ! All the other windows lower a few inches at a time even if you hold and press button. You have to press again for it to lower. To get the windows to raise press and hold the button and they raise a few inches then you have to click raise button around 8 times to get it raise again another few inches. You have to repeat this Over and over to get windows fully closed? Clicking button 8 times. Have tried disconnecting battery but made no difference . Car has only don 26k. Can’t be mechanical ?
