Hello I’ve heard on the XF that a common problem is the alarm sounding due to bonnet sensor. could this still be the problem even though I have no bonnet open warning light on many thanks

Hello I am also struggling with an alarm problem on my XF it only seems to happen when the car gets double locked which doesn't make sense as i have tried unplugging the volumetric sensor and it still activates after a few hours. I read a forum about sudden drop in battery voltages so hooked it up to a charger over night and the alarm still went off after a few hours.

The fault always points to the drivers door sensor i have tried locking the car with me inside and putting my shoulder into the door never get a problem and door doesn't move! The door never pings up a message on the display while driving the car to show door open so this should suggest the sensor is fine right?

Anyone else had and fixed this issue?
