I have a bad case of drooping wheel arch liners. I took it to the local Jaguar specialist who said that the liners had been removed because the air filters had been changed and refitted them correctly but they where the 2 halves join, they are hanging down again, only a bit but they this can be seen below the wheel arch

Any ideas, is this a common problem?

Recently bought my XK. Just had all my liners out/off as C19 has given me an opportunity to give my XK some extra TLC. They come out very easily with the screw fixings. as you may know they are in two sections on the front but the rear liners seem like one section as are connected together with very heavy staples. I pressure washed mine while I had them out. The front liners are in two parts, as mentioned with the front half overlapping the back section. I had a little what you described as droop on one of the front sections and yes it could just be seen below the wheel arch after refitting. I have fitted a small thin stainless steel plate to one half of the liner, fixed to the liner with 3 pop rivets at the joint so it supports the other half. 

The liners appear to be a good quality and behind was in great condition. I have cleaned and treated all the chassis steelwork and alloy parts with Bilt Hamber wax protection which is great stuff. Cleaned and painted the calipers also. Jag main dealers appear to be little better than others as no copper slip or similar had been used when the car was last in for new discs and pads on rear consequently wheels binding to back plate with rust. Just finished last wheel - looks great!
