LimitedPerformance Warning light?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, got a brand new warning light today. Nice and refreshing to have something new to worry about!!! Anyway, Red traingle warning light with message Reduced (or Limited) Performance. Accompanied by noticable loss in power. Very slow to build up speed and would not rev more than 2500. No smoke / noise / smell or anything else just immediate loss of power for apparently no reason.  I was taking the car on a run to ward off the dreaded amber DPF warning light (which is my way of dealing with it as I only usually drive short distances). Was in the middle of nowhere so had no choice but to keep going. In the office now without access to the manual so was hoping some of the good people on here could point me in the right direction.

Go out and start it up limp mode may have disappeared.  Then gat the fault reader on to check the cause. Dave

Absolutely correct, Dave. Started the car to drive home from the office - about 15 minutes in traffic and the light never came on once! Seemed to drive ok as well. A friend of mine is an engineer / technician with Allianz so I'll get him to run a diagnostic for me. Cheers - Allan
