By 'passive' entry, do you mean 'keyless'?

Keyless entry is (I believe), an option, and can be easily identified by a small black rubber area on the door handle. This is used to lock the vehicle (double press to arm the alarm system), and simply pull the door handle to open the vehicle. Obviously, you need to have the key fob bout your person...

Not sure if this helps, but I hope so...
